The Environmental Protection Agency manages the David Fleay Wildlife Park as an environmental education facility, to draw community attention to wildlife and the need to conserve our native animals.

See some of our most fascinating creatures, from the striking cassowary of north Queensland’s tropical rainforests to the platypus of our coastal streams. At David Fleay Wildlife Park Gold Coast’s Nocturnal House, you can see some of our most unusual native animals, from the endangered greater bilby of the inland deserts to the fascinating yellow-bellied glider found in forests and woodlands. Explore the park on your own or join in on one of the special activities for visitors.

Guided walks and Aboriginal culture talks are a highlight. Spotlighting at night by arrangement is another feature.

David Fleay Wildlife Park includes an animal hospital for sick, injured and orphaned animals. Each year, more than 1500 animals are rehabilitated and released back into the wild.

David Fleay Wildlife Park is located next to Tallebudgera Creek on West Burleigh Road, West Burleigh on Queensland’s Gold Coast. David Fleay Wildlife Park Gold Coast opens from 9am to 5pm seven days a week, every day of the year except Christmas Day.
